Professional Summary

Transitioning from a registered nurse to a provider requires a drastic increase in professional responsibility. In order to rise to this requirement a professional must be equipped with the necessary tools to do so. Prior to initiation of this program my skills were vast but generalized. Throughout my time in the Adelphi University master's program, I have learned to refine those skills, while also learning new ones that will guide my practice and provision of care such as evidence-based research, knowledge of psychopharmacology, and taking a political stance to procure change via advocacy. The variety of courses and topics granted us throughout our PMHNP master's specialization program enables us to be well rounded practitioners capable of providing patients with optimal, holistic care.
